Board Spotlight: Greg Hedrich
Meet Greg Hedrich — a Wisconsin native, business-minded leader, and passionate believer in the future of Central Wisconsin.
Gregory grew up in Wisconsin Dells and has built a career around people, business, and finding opportunities for growth. After earning his Bachelor of Science in Business from Edgewood College, he spent 11 years in the freight industry with Schneider National and UPS before moving into the restaurant business, where he owned and operated multiple Monk’s Bar & Grill locations and managed more than 100 employees.
Today, Gregory brings that experience to his work as a Commercial Real Estate Advisor with NAI Pfefferle. Since joining the firm in 2023, he has worked with business owners, investors, developers, and municipalities throughout Central Wisconsin, helping with everything from site selection and lease negotiations to investment sales.
But for Gregory, it’s about more than just business.
“I take tremendous pride in the communities where I work, live, and volunteer,” he said. “I want to see Central Wisconsin continue to grow and be a phenomenal place to live, work, and raise a family.”
A Passion for His Community
Giving back has always been important to Gregory. He volunteers with One Good Friend, spending time with an adult with disabilities doing the simple things that make life enjoyable — bowling, playing bags, grabbing a bite to eat, or just catching up.
He has also served on the Stevens Point Country Club Board of Directors and Finance Committee, experiences that have given him the opportunity to build relationships and learn from fellow community leaders.
Those connections are a big part of what drew Gregory to Centergy.
Through his commercial real estate work, he regularly collaborates with business owners, developers, municipalities, investors, and other community partners. Serving on the Centergy Board gives him another opportunity to bring those relationships and experiences together for the benefit of the entire region.
Growing a Stronger Central Wisconsin
Of Centergy’s four pillars, resonates most with Gregory.
With a career rooted in sales and entrepreneurship, he naturally enjoys seeing businesses grow and new opportunities take shape. He believes that attracting strong businesses and talented people is key to building a region where people want to live, work, and put down roots.
One issue he believes deserves particular attention is affordable housing.
“We cannot expect to attract and retain businesses and talent if people cannot find quality, affordable housing,” Gregory said.
He sees an opportunity for Centergy to continue bringing the right people to the table — developers, municipalities, businesses, and community leaders — to find creative solutions to the region’s housing challenges.
The Power of Working Together
Gregory has seen firsthand how collaboration can turn a difficult project into a success.
While helping a client find a location for an auto-repossession business near his hometown of Wisconsin Dells, Gregory encountered zoning challenges, neighborhood concerns, property improvements, and title issues. Instead of giving up, he worked with the town, neighbors, attorneys, the title company, and the property owner to address concerns and find a path forward.
The result? A successful business moved into the property, the site was significantly improved, and the surrounding community ended up with a much better-looking property.
For Gregory, it was a great reminder that listening, finding common ground, and working together can make a real difference.
That’s the same approach he hopes to bring to Centergy.
“I want to see Central Wisconsin continue to grow and thrive,” Gregory said. “I’m excited to contribute my experience and perspective and help advance the success of our region.”
