Alliant Energy has a long history of serving Wisconsin communities. Through Wisconsin Power and Light Company (WPL), Alliant Energy provides electricity to approximately 505,000 retail customers and natural gas service to approximately 205,000 retail customers in select Wisconsin communities.
As an energy provider, Alliant Energy plays an important role in the infrastructure that allows businesses and communities to operate, grow and prosper.
But their commitment to Wisconsin extends beyond delivering energy. Through the Alliant Energy Foundation, the company has supported innovative projects and local nonprofits in communities where its employees, retirees, and customers live and work. Since 1998, the Foundation has contributed more than $78 million to community initiatives.
