We’re pleased to spotlight Stephanie Lynn, Vice President and Chief Actuary at Church Mutual, whose expertise in data-driven decision-making and talent development helps shape our region’s future.
Rooted in Central Wisconsin
Stephanie’s connection to Central Wisconsin runs deep. She and her husband both grew up in Merrill, Wisconsin, and after college, they made the decision to return to the region while pursuing their professional careers.
Today, Stephanie serves as VP – Chief Actuary at Church Mutual, bringing more than 15 years of experience in the insurance and financial services industry. Her background in forecasting, financial modeling, and strategic decision-making gives her a unique perspective on helping organizations navigate challenges and plan for long-term success.
“I’ve built my career in Central Wisconsin, and I’ve seen firsthand the opportunities this region offers,” Stephanie says. “I’m passionate about helping create even more pathways for people to thrive where they live.”
A Passion for Growing Opportunity
Stephanie was drawn to Centergy because of its commitment to strengthening the region through collaboration and forward-thinking leadership.
“Having lived in the area for most of my life, I feel I can represent the values, work ethic, and aspirations of Central Wisconsin,” she says. “I want to help ensure our region remains vibrant, competitive, and inclusive for generations to come.”
While she recognizes the importance of all four of Centergy’s strategic pillars, Talent Growth is the area that resonates most with her.
She believes attracting, developing, and retaining skilled professionals is essential to the region’s long-term success, particularly by creating meaningful career opportunities for both young professionals and those looking to grow their careers without leaving Central Wisconsin.
Connecting People for Regional Success
Stephanie sees Centergy as a powerful connector, bringing together business, education, and policymakers to align around shared goals.
She believes one of the organization’s greatest opportunities is helping tell the story of Central Wisconsin.
“Centergy is uniquely positioned to serve as both a connector and a catalyst,” she explains. “By highlighting our region’s strengths and coordinating regional strategies, we can attract new talent, investment, and residents while building an even stronger regional identity.”
She also sees continued investment in housing, broadband, childcare, and community amenities as critical to making Central Wisconsin an even more attractive place to live and work.
Leading Through Collaboration
Throughout her career, Stephanie has built a reputation for collaborative leadership.
As an officer at Church Mutual, she helped guide cross-functional teams across finance, actuarial, underwriting, claims, and legal through the complex work of realigning the company’s long-term financial strategy following a challenging financial year.
The experience reinforced the importance of shared goals, clear communication, and every team member understanding their role in achieving success.
Stephanie plans to bring that same collaborative mindset to Centergy by working across industries and perspectives to build consensus and advance initiatives that benefit the entire Central Wisconsin region.
