Centergy Inc. is excited to announce the hiring of Gaoia Xiong as the Marketing and Events Coordinator. A proud native of Central Wisconsin and a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Gaoia holds a degree in Human Development and Family Studies, along with double minors in Asian American Studies and Gender and Women’s Studies. Raised in rural Central Wisconsin, she is dedicated to connecting resources and fostering collaboration among underserved communities.
Gaoia brings four years of valuable experience in community engagement, campaign marketing, and event coordination. During her time at UW-Madison, she served as a student leader for multiple organizations and worked as a Lead Community Organizer, where she built partnerships between nonprofits, local government, and various stakeholders. As a second-generation Hmong American, she is bilingual in Hmong and English and has a passion for storytelling. Gaoia hopes to leverage these skills to further Centergy’s initiatives in the local Hmong communities and underrepresented groups in the region, working to promote opportunities for all residents in the region.
In her new role at Centergy, she will plan and execute a variety of events, including community forums and networking gatherings, aimed at fostering collaboration and engagement among local residents and organizations. Additionally, Gaoia will develop and implement effective marketing strategies aligned with Centergy’s mission to attract talent and drive economic growth in the region. Her responsibilities will include managing social media campaigns, creating promotional materials, and building relationships with local media to enhance event visibility.
