Centergy Hosts Spring Economic Development Organizations and Municipalities Meeting

In partnership with the Wisconsin Economic Development Corp., the event aimed to facilitate active conversations and connections among economic development stakeholders. Attendees represented a diverse range of organizations, municipalities, and public agencies, coming together to collaborate on strategies for driving growth and prosperity in Central Wisconsin.

The Spring Central Wisconsin Economic Development Organizations and Municipalities meeting saw over 40 attendees gathering to discuss key issues and opportunities in the region.

The meeting featured insightful presentations from esteemed speakers, including Sam Wessel, AICP, Senior Planner at the North Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission, and Sean Lentz and Greg Johnson, Senior Municipal Advisors at Ehlers. Topics covered included understanding the role of housing studies and processes, a closer look at tax increment financing (TIF), and local development initiatives.

The event, held at the Village of Marathon City Hall, also provided attendees with networking opportunities and a chance to connect with peers and industry experts. The event concluded with a walking development tour of current projects the Village is undertaking.
