Introduction to the SkillBridge Platform
September 17 @ 12:00 pm - 1:00 pm
FreeJoin Centergy and New North for an informative, one-hour virtual session (will be recorded) introducing the SkillBridge platform—a powerful Department of Defense program that connects transitioning service members with civilian career opportunities during their last 180 days of service. SkillBridge allows employers to tap into a pipeline of highly skilled, mission-driven talent while helping veterans gain valuable civilian work experience before their official separation from the military.
Veterans bring leadership, discipline, teamwork, and advanced technical skills to the civilian workforce. Their impact extends well beyond the job site—veterans and their families contribute millions of dollars annually to the Central Wisconsin economy through wages, entrepreneurship, homeownership, and local spending. Research shows that each veteran who settles in the region generates an estimated $60,000–$80,000 in annual economic activity, multiplying the benefits for businesses and communities alike. Attracting and retaining them strengthens our economy, expands our skilled labor force, and enriches our communities for generations.
This event is part of Central Command, Centergy’s veteran attraction initiative designed to make Central Wisconsin a destination of choice for service members and their families. Central Command encompasses targeted marketing campaigns, direct talent recruitment, business resources, and other efforts to connect veterans with rewarding careers and vibrant communities across our five-county region.
